When I...Hi, just came across your interesting blog. When I was young we had a crow(ravens to you ) trap. Essentially it was a large pipe cage about 5' high and 3' wide and deep. Then covered with chicken wire ( we use it on chicken pens), with a wooden square frame tied into the top at the middle about 8" by 8" .Wire was tied to this so that it left that 8x8 opening. Crows would land on top, drop down through the hole to feed on an old carcase - BUT, they could not fly back out again.
